Ocean Freight

Ocean Freight

FCL and LCL sailings on major east-west and north-south trades, with named coordinators, cut-off control, and vessel-level visibility.

Service overview

How we handle Ocean Freight

Ocean remains the backbone of general cargo. MeridianShield books FCL and LCL space with liner partners, manages cut-offs, and keeps the file aligned with the vessel schedule so the consignee is not surprised at destination. Coordinators watch roll risk, transhipment, and documentation from booking confirmation through discharge. We price both full-container and consolidation options on the same lane when the cargo mix allows it, and we tell you plainly when a sailing is tight. Bills of lading, shipping instructions, and arrival notices sit in one file. If cargo is rolled or diverted, the update is written to the shipment timeline with the last known location — never presented as live AIS unless a tracking provider is connected.
